Miayla’s passion for the harp began at a young age, alongside a deep connection to jazz music. At just 20, she moved to New Orleans to fully immerse herself in the birthplace of jazz, refining her craft within its rich musical heritage. Now based in London, she is an active and respected performer on the capital’s jazz scene, while also being in high demand for weddings, private events and luxury functions.

Her performance highlights include renowned venues such as EartH (London) and the Davenport Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, as well as festival appearances across the UK, including Beyond the Music Festival in Manchester.

Following her return to London, Miayla founded the Amethyst Ensemble, a dynamic collaboration that pairs the ethereal tones of the harp with classic jazz instrumentation, including double bass, drums and guitar.
