Gita is a violinist and graduate of The Royal Academy of Music, London.
As well as touring with various artists such as Mark Ronson, Rihanna, Suede, Primal Scream, ELO, Elbow, Beyoncé, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Gita is also a top session musician, notably recording solo violin on the number one track ‘Dry Your Eyes’ by The Streets and the number one track ‘Real Girl’ by Mutya Buena. Gita has also performed at The Royal Albert Hall and regularly plays on Glastonbury Festival’s Pyramid stage with headliners such as ELO, Elbow, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Kasabian.
For events, Gita performs solo either on electric or acoustic violin to slick backing tracks which range from disco, pop, cinematic beats and classic Ibiza chillout anthems. Blending her classical training with her and rock and roll leanings, she also offers the option to incorporate electric guitar pedals to create a unique full sound.
