Brief
Congress Consultants, organisers of the 41st Annual EAU Conference, commissioned us to create and deliver high impact performances to open and close one of their key sessions. They wanted the show to energise delegates and leave a lasting impression.
Approach
Working with the client we developed two bespoke musical theatre medleys inspired by iconic productions from the West End. The shows focused on pairing the charm and optimism of Mary Poppins with the powerful, dramatic storytelling of Les Misérables.
From crafting the storyline, staging and choreography, every element came together to bring the performance to life.
The costuming and styling played a key role in visually distinguishing the two performances. Each performance featured outfits curated to evoke the atmosphere of its respective production – from the whimsical charm associated with Mary Poppins to the bold, dramatic aesthetic synonymous with Les Misérables.
Outcome
The Mary Poppins medley delivered a celebratory “Best of British” feel, while the Les Misérables performance brought a powerful, iconic finale to the programme. The result was two dynamic performances that framed the session with energy and theatrical impact.
